Education is a wonderful thing and so many boys received a first class education at Archbishop Tenisons School. Were you one of the several thousand who attended the school, or do you have some other connection?
The Old Tenisonians Association exists to bring together all those who would benefit from the common bond in attending or being associated with the school. The current committee is charged with expanding membership of the Association hence this web site.
Current members can be found in several parts of the world and our regular magazine the ‘Motspur Mumblings’ publishes news from far and wide. Where are you reading this? Are you or do you know any former pupils in unusual situations that would be of interest to other former pupils? Do you know any former pupils who have found fame and fortune? Make contact, leave a message, tell us what you are about, the more the merrier.
Are you the sporting type? The OTA football club recently celebrated its one hundredth anniversary with a formal dinner in London. During that season the First Team won the Old Boys League Premier Division for the first time ever – a remarkable coincidence and a tremendous achievement. Six regular Saturday football teams and four weekend cricket teams, come and join, all abilities are welcome and the facilities are excellent.
The Old Tenisonian’s Association can be whatever the membership wants it to be. We have had a drama society, we hold a regular dinner and dance and several informal get togethers and many of our members attend an annual golf day.
Many of you will remember the sports ground at Motspur Park and will I am sure have fond or not so fond memories. The sports facilities are well used by the OTA. Drop in one Saturday during the football season or most Saturdays and Sundays during the cricket season, who knows who might be playing, someone who you haven’t seen for years perhaps. It is worth a try.
