OTA GOLF DAY
Tuesday 9th September 2003
The OTA Golf Day was held as usual at Old Thorns golf course near Liphook,
Hampshire on September 9th. Once again Roger Parker had organised an
individual Stableford event in the morning, followed by a Texas Scramble in
the afternoon. As is becoming more the norm than the exception OT players
were outnumbered by the guests 2 - 1 but nevertheless a very enjoyable day
was had by all despite the fabulous Baker boys taking both prizes. Alan and
his two sons-in-law winning the Scramble with one of the boys taking the
individual honour. Old Thorns is an exceptional course and the standard of
meals they provide are of the highest standard so it's a shame in a way that
more OT's don't attend.
